VEROMYCIN-500-LB is a combination antibiotic formulation that contains Azithromycin 500 mg along with Lactobacillus, a probiotic. It is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections and also helps maintain gut health during antibiotic therapy.Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth and multiplication of bacteria. It is effective against infections of the respiratory tract (like bronchitis and pneumonia), skin and soft tissues, urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, and sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhea. It is also prescribed for ear infections, tonsillitis, and sinusitis.
