VASIzitel-Plus is a prescription medication that combines Telmisartan and Amlodipine, two effective antihypertensive agents used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). Telmisartan belongs to the class of angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs), which work by blocking the effects of angiotensin II—a chemical in the body that narrows blood vessels and increases blood pressure. By blocking this chemical, Telmisartan helps the blood vessels relax and widen, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.Amlodipine, on the other hand, is a calcium channel blocker (CCB).
