Tivazol-LS is a clinically effective combination therapy used to manage acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), indigestion, and functional dyspepsia. It contains Levosulpiride and Rabeprazole, which work together to improve gastric motility and reduce stomach acid secretion.Levosulpiride is a prokinetic agent that enhances gastrointestinal movement by increasing the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for regulating the movement of the stomach and intestines. This action helps in improving digestion, relieving bloating, and preventing the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus (acid reflux). It is especially useful in conditions associated with delayed gastric emptying.
Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking the proton pumps in the stomach lining, thereby significantly reducing the production of gastric acid. This helps in healing acid-induced inflammation, ulcers, and provides relief from symptoms like heartburn, epigastric pain, and sour belching.
