TIVpod-CV is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil (100 mg) and Clavulanic Acid (62.5 mg) in dispersible tablet form. It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections by effectively targeting both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, ultimately leading to the death of the bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the effectiveness of Cefpodoxime by preventing bacterial resistance mechanisms.TIVpod-CV is commonly prescribed for conditions such as upper and lower respiratory tract infections, tonsillitis, sinusitis, ear infections, urinary tract infections, and skin and soft tissue infections. The dispersible tablet form makes it particularly suitable for pediatric patients and individuals who have difficulty swallowing traditional tablets.
