TIVlox-CL is a topical medication composed of Gentamicin, Clotrimazole, Betamethasone, and Lidocaine, used for the treatment of various mixed bacterial and fungal skin infections accompanied by inflammation and itching. Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively killing the bacteria responsible for skin infections. Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent that disrupts fungal cell membranes, thereby halting the growth and spread of fungi. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that helps reduce redness, swelling, itching, and inflammation by suppressing the production of inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that provides immediate relief from pain and irritation by blocking nerve signals at the site of application.This combination makes TIVlox-CL highly effective for treating dermatitis, eczema with secondary infection, fungal skin infections with inflammation, and allergic skin conditions. Apply it as directed by your healthcare provider, usually in a thin layer on the affected area. Avoid applying it on broken or severely damaged skin unless advised. Prolonged or excessive use should be avoided, especially on sensitive areas, as it may lead to side effects like skin thinning, irritation, or resistance.
