TIVEtrate-S is an oral suspension that contains a combination of Magaldrate (400 mg) and Simethicone (20 mg). It is commonly used to relieve excessive stomach acidity, gas, heartburn, indigestion, and bloating. This formulation works by neutralizing excess stomach acid and relieving pressure caused by trapped gas in the digestive tract.Magaldrate is an antacid that neutralizes stomach acid and forms a protective layer in the stomach lining, helping reduce irritation and symptoms such as burning sensation, discomfort, and sour belching. Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent that helps break down gas bubbles in the gut, easing symptoms of gas, fullness, and abdominal discomfort.
TIVEtrate-S is often prescribed as part of a combination therapy for acidity-related gastrointestinal issues, including gastritis, acid reflux (GERD), and flatulence. For best results, it should be taken after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a doctor.
