TIVAzol-Plus is a combination medicine containing Domperidone and Rabeprazole, used primarily for the treatment of acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), indigestion, nausea, vomiting, and other acid-related gastrointestinal disorders.Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that enhances the movement of food through the upper digestive tract. It works by stimulating the muscles of the stomach and intestines, improving gastric emptying, and reducing symptoms such as nausea, bloating, and a heavy stomach.
Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the production of stomach acid. By inhibiting the acid-secreting pumps in the stomach lining, Rabeprazole helps in the relief of heartburn, acidity, and healing of ulcers, while also preventing damage caused by excess acid.
The combination of these two medicines in TIVAzol-Plus provides a dual-action effect: controlling stomach acid and improving digestive movement. This makes it especially effective in patients suffering from reflux symptoms associated with delayed gastric emptying.
It is usually recommended to be taken once daily before meals, typically in the morning. The medication should be used under medical supervision, and prolonged use may require monitoring due to potential side effects such as dry mouth, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, or nutrient absorption issues (like vitamin B12 deficiency).
