TEXTIME-1 GM contains Cefepime, a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of a wide range of serious bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, thereby killing the bacteria and stopping the infection from spreading. Cefepime is known for its broad-spectrum activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including some strains that are resistant to earlier generations of cephalosporins.TEXTIME-1 GM is commonly used to treat infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, and febrile neutropenia. It is administered via intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection and is usually reserved for hospital settings where prompt and powerful antibacterial action is required.
Due to its strong activity and ability to penetrate body tissues and fluids effectively, Cefepime is especially useful in treating infections in immunocompromised patients or those at risk of developing drug-resistant infections.
TEXTIME-1 GM should always be used under medical supervision, and the full course must be completed even if symptoms improve early. Regular monitoring may be needed in patients with kidney issues. It is generally well-tolerated but may cause mild side effects like rash, diarrhea, or local injection site reactions.
