Sivmodine-5 contains Ivabradine 5 mg, a heart rate-lowering medication used in the treatment of angina pectoris (chest pain) and chronic heart failure. It works by selectively inhibiting the If (funny) current in the sinoatrial node of the heart, which reduces the heart rate without affecting the strength of heart contractions or blood pressure. By lowering the heart rate, Sivmodine-5 decreases the oxygen demand of the heart muscle, thereby relieving chest pain and improving exercise tolerance.In patients with chronic heart failure, particularly those with a normal heart rhythm but elevated resting heart rates, Sivmodine-5 helps improve cardiac efficiency, reduces hospitalization risk, and enhances overall quality of life.
