Sanzify-100XL is an antibiotic suspension containing Azithromycin, a macrolide class antibiotic used to treat a broad range of bacterial infections in children. It is commonly prescribed for infections of the respiratory tract (like bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis), ear and sinus, skin and soft tissues, as well as gastrointestinal infections and some sexually transmitted infections.Azithromycin works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria by interfering with their protein synthesis. This stops the spread of infection and helps the immune system eliminate the bacteria from the body. It is particularly effective due to its long half-life, allowing once-daily dosing, which improves compliance—especially in pediatric patients.
Sanzify-100XL is well tolerated in children and usually given in a short 3 to 5-day course. It should be administered as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food. The full course should be completed even if symptoms improve early, to prevent bacterial resistance.
Common side effects may include nausea, mild diarrhea, abdominal pain, or loss of appetite, which are usually temporary. Shake the bottle well before each dose and use a proper measuring device. Do not use it for viral infections like the flu or common cold.
