It contains two active ingredients: Pregabalin and Nortriptyline, each targeting nerve pain through different but complementary mechanisms.Pregabalin is classified as an alpha-2-delta ligand, which works by binding to specific calcium channels in nerve cells. This reduces the release of certain neurotransmitters involved in pain signaling, thereby decreasing the intensity of nerve pain. It helps in conditions like diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, and fibromyalgia, offering both pain relief and improvement in nerve function.
Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) that works by increasing the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine—two important neurotransmitters that play a role in mood and pain regulation. By enhancing these chemical messengers, Nortriptyline helps block the transmission of pain signals in the brain and spinal cord, thereby reducing the perception of chronic pain.
