SILpraz-LS is a combination medication used to treat various gastrointestinal conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), functional dyspepsia, and acid reflux. It contains Levosulpiride and Esomeprazole, two active ingredients that work together to relieve symptoms related to excessive stomach acid and delayed gastric emptying.Levosulpiride is a prokinetic agent that enhances the motility of the stomach and intestines. It acts by increasing the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that stimulates the movement of the digestive tract. This helps in relieving symptoms such as bloating, early satiety, nausea, and discomfort associated with slowed digestion and reflux.
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces acid secretion in the stomach. By blocking the acid-producing pumps in the gastric lining, it helps relieve symptoms of heartburn, chest discomfort, and promotes the healing of acid-induced inflammation and ulcers.
