SILpan-DSR is a dual-action medication combining Domperidone and Pantoprazole, formulated in a sustained-release capsule for prolonged and effective control of acid-related digestive issues. It is used to treat conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion, and functional dyspepsia.Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that enhances gastrointestinal motility. It works by increasing the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping food pass more smoothly through the digestive tract. This prevents symptoms like bloating, fullness, nausea, and regurgitation by reducing the chances of reflux.
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that blocks acid secretion in the stomach by inhibiting the proton pumps in the gastric lining. This reduces acidity, promotes healing of ulcers or inflammation in the stomach and esophagus, and relieves symptoms such as burning sensation, sour belching, and stomach pain.
