SANzify-250 is a broad-spectrum antibiotic tablet containing Azithromycin 250 mg, used for treating a wide range of bacterial infections in adults and children. It is effective against infections of the respiratory tract (like bronchitis, tonsillitis, and pneumonia), skin and soft tissues, sinuses, ears, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and certain sexually transmitted diseases.Azithromycin belongs to the macrolide class of antibiotics and works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth and spread of the bacteria. This action helps eliminate the infection and promotes quicker recovery. Due to its extended half-life, Azithromycin is usually taken once daily, and treatment courses are often shorter (typically 3 to 5 days), which increases patient compliance.
Take SANzify-250 exactly as prescribed by your doctor—preferably on an empty stomach (either 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals). Do not skip doses, and complete the full course even if you start feeling better early. Stopping the medicine prematurely can lead to antibiotic resistance and recurrence of infection.
Possible side effects may include nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, or headache, which are usually mild and temporary. This medicine is not effective for viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
