RZOver-LS is a combination medicine used primarily to treat acid reflux, indigestion, gastritis, and functional dyspepsia. It combines Levosulpiride, a prokinetic agent, with Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), to address both poor gastrointestinal motility and excessive acid production—two key factors in many digestive disorders.Levosulpiride works by enhancing the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that stimulates the movement of the stomach and intestines. By increasing gut motility, it helps relieve symptoms like bloating, nausea, early satiety, and fullness. It also prevents the backward flow of stomach contents into the esophagus, reducing the risk of acid reflux. Rabeprazole acts by blocking the proton pumps in the stomach lining that produce gastric acid, leading to effective reduction of acidity. This helps in healing acid-induced damage and provides relief from heartburn, sour burps, and peptic ulcers.
RZOver-LS is especially effective in patients suffering from GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) and other motility-related acid disorders. It is usually taken before meals under medical supervision. While it is generally well tolerated, possible side effects may include headache, dizziness, constipation, or mild gastrointestinal discomfort.
