Persyn-Plus Lotion is a topical medication used primarily for the treatment of scabies and lice infestations. It contains a combination of Cetrimide and Permethrin, two powerful agents known for their antiparasitic and antiseptic properties. Permethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid, acts by paralyzing and killing the mites and lice, including their eggs, effectively halting the infestation. Cetrimide works as a disinfectant and cleansing agent, helping to eliminate microbes on the skin that can cause or worsen infections.This lotion is particularly effective against Sarcoptes scabiei (the mite responsible for scabies) and Pediculus humanus capitis (head lice). When applied to the skin or scalp, it not only targets the infestation directly but also helps prevent secondary bacterial infections that can arise from scratching or irritated skin.
To use Persyn-Plus Lotion, it should be applied thoroughly to clean, dry skin or scalp, covering all affected areas. It is typically left on for several hours or overnight before being washed off.
