Pepnitin-M is a combination medication containing Methylcobalamin and Pregabalin, primarily used for the treatment of neuropathic pain—pain caused by nerve damage due to conditions such as diabetes, shingles (herpes zoster), spinal cord injury, or other neurological disorders.Methylcobalamin is an active form of Vitamin B12 that plays a vital role in the formation of myelin, the protective sheath around nerve fibers. It supports the regeneration of damaged nerves, improves nerve conduction, and helps reduce symptoms such as tingling, numbness, and weakness.
Pregabalin is an alpha-2-delta ligand that modulates calcium channels in the nervous system. By inhibiting the release of certain neurotransmitters involved in pain transmission, it effectively reduces abnormal nerve signals and alleviates chronic nerve pain, including burning or stabbing sensations.
Pepnitin-M is typically taken once or twice daily, depending on the severity of the condition and the physician’s prescription.
