Pepneto-DSR is a combination medication that contains Domperidone and Pantoprazole, designed to treat conditions related to excess stomach acid and impaired gastric motility. It is commonly prescribed for acid reflux (GERD), heartburn, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, and gastritis.Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that significantly reduces the production of gastric acid in the stomach. By blocking the acid-producing enzyme in the stomach lining, it provides relief from acid-related discomforts such as heartburn, sour taste, bloating, and ulcers. It promotes healing of acid-induced inflammation and helps prevent recurrence.
Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that enhances gastrointestinal motility. It works by acting on dopamine receptors in the gut and brain, allowing food to move more freely through the stomach and intestines.
