PANTOLEX-DS is a combination medicine containing Domperidone and Pantoprazole, used primarily to manage acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as acid reflux, indigestion, gastritis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that enhances gastrointestinal motility. It works by increasing the movements or contractions of the stomach and intestines, which helps in the quicker passage of food through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that effectively reduces stomach acid production. By decreasing the acid levels in the stomach, it provides relief from heartburn, promotes the healing of ulcers, and prevents damage to the esophagus from acid reflux.
