Osani-D is a combination eye drop containing Ofloxacin and Dexamethasone, formulated to treat bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis (pink eye), blepharitis, and keratitis, while also reducing inflammation and irritation. Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works by inhibiting the bacterial enzymes responsible for DNA replication, effectively stopping bacterial growth and clearing the infection. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that helps relieve pain, redness, swelling, and itching by suppressing the body's inflammatory response.Together, these ingredients provide rapid relief from the discomfort and visual disturbances associated with eye infections, while also helping prevent complications such as corneal damage. Osani-D offers the dual benefit of treating the underlying bacterial cause and reducing the associated inflammation, making it ideal for moderate to severe eye infections.
It is generally recommended to use Osani-D eye drops 2–3 times a day, or as directed by your doctor, usually for at least 7 days. Even if symptoms improve earlier, it’s important to complete the full course to ensure that the infection is completely eliminated and to prevent recurrence or resistance. Use the drops carefully to avoid contamination and consult your doctor if irritation persists.
