OSANtan-20 contains Olmesartan Medoxomil 20 mg, an effective antihypertensive medication belonging to the class of angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It is used for the management of high blood pressure (hypertension), which helps prevent complications such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems.Olmesartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to tighten and narrow. By preventing its effects, Olmesartan helps the blood vessels relax and widen, leading to a reduction in blood pressure. This allows the heart to pump blood more easily and ensures better oxygen and nutrient delivery throughout the body.
Taking OSANtan-20 regularly can lead to long-term cardiovascular benefits, especially when combined with lifestyle changes like a balanced diet, regular exercise, reduced salt intake, and avoiding smoking or alcohol.
