IFYdrox-120 contains Etoricoxib 120 mg, a selective COX-2 inhibitor used for the short-term relief of pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with musculoskeletal and joint disorders. It is particularly effective in managing symptoms in conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute dental pain, such as after tooth extraction.Etoricoxib works by selectively blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which is responsible for the production of prostaglandins—chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. By targeting COX-2 specifically, IFYdrox-120 reduces pain and swelling without significantly affecting COX-1, which helps protect the stomach lining. This makes it gentler on the stomach than traditional NSAIDs in many cases.
