FYTOclind-CT is a combination medication that contains Clindamycin Hydrochloride 100mg, Clotrimazole 100mg, and Tinidazole 100mg. It is primarily used to treat mixed vaginal infections, including bacterial vaginosis, vaginal candidiasis (yeast infections), and protozoal infections such as trichomoniasis. Clindamycin is an antibiotic that inhibits the growth of certain bacteria by interfering with their protein synthesis. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that works by damaging the fungal cell membrane, leading to the death of the fungus. Tinidazole is both antibacterial and antiprotozoal, and it acts by damaging the DNA of the microorganisms, thereby stopping their growth and reproduction.This triple combination offers broad-spectrum coverage against various pathogens that commonly cause vaginal infections. FYTOclind-CT is usually administered as a vaginal suppository or tablet, inserted at bedtime for a course typically lasting between three to seven days, depending on the severity of the infection and the doctor's recommendation.
