FLUzeet-200 (Cap) is an antifungal capsule formulation containing Fluconazole, a highly effective triazole antifungal agent used to treat a range of serious fungal and yeast infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell integrity and stopping the growth of the fungus.This medicine is commonly prescribed for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection), oropharyngeal candidiasis (oral thrush), esophageal candidiasis, and systemic fungal infections such as candidemia and cryptococcal meningitis. It is also used as a preventive therapy in immunocompromised patients, such as those undergoing chemotherapy or living with HIV/AIDS, to protect against opportunistic fungal infections.
The 200 mg strength is typically used as a starting or loading dose in more severe infections, followed by lower maintenance doses depending on the clinical condition and patient response.
