FIKSOmef-DS is a powerful combination of two well-known medications: Mefenamic Acid and Paracetamol (Acetaminophen). This formulation is commonly used for the relief of pain, inflammation, and fever associated with a wide variety of conditions. It is especially effective in treating muscle pain, joint pain, headache, toothache, menstrual cramps, and fever due to infections or inflammatory disorders.Mefenamic Acid belongs to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, chemical substances in the body responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. By doing so, it reduces swelling and provides long-lasting pain relief, especially useful for musculoskeletal conditions and dysmenorrhea (painful periods).
Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer) and mild analgesic. It lowers fever and alleviates mild to moderate pain by acting on the brain's heat-regulating center and inhibiting pain signals.
