DOMOL-ISR is a combination medication containing Rabeprazole and Itopride, designed to provide effective relief from acid-related digestive disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), functional dyspepsia, indigestion, heartburn, bloating, and nausea. This synergistic combination targets both excessive acid production and delayed gastric emptying, offering comprehensive gastrointestinal support.Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme in the stomach lining, which significantly reduces gastric acid secretion. This action helps in the treatment and prevention of acid-related conditions like heartburn, acid reflux, and peptic ulcers by promoting the healing of the stomach lining and esophagus.
Itopride is a prokinetic agent that enhances the movement of the stomach and intestines by increasing acetylcholine levels and blocking dopamine D2 receptors. It improves gastric motility and also acts on the vomiting center in the brain, helping to relieve symptoms such as nausea, bloating, and early satiety.
