DENpot‑G is a viscous, glycerin‑based gum paint formulated to deliver simultaneous antiseptic, astringent, and soothing action to the oral cavity. Each gram provides 1 g iodine and 2 g potassium iodide, a potent iodophor pair that releases free iodine on contact with mucous membranes, rapidly destroying bacteria, fungi, and many viruses. Tannic acid (0.5 g) and alum (1.5 g) tighten inflamed capillaries and shrink swollen gingival tissue, helping to curb bleeding while promoting tissue repair. Thymol (0.25 g) reinforces antimicrobial coverage by disrupting microbial cell walls, and the combined presence of menthol (0.25 g) and camphor (0.20 g) adds an immediate cooling‑then‑warming counter‑irritant effect that eases discomfort and leaves the mouth feeling fresh. Glycerin not only acts as the vehicle but also clings to oral surfaces, prolonging the residence time of active ingredients so they can penetrate ulcer bases, periodontal pockets, and interdental spaces. Dentists and physicians typically recommend DENpot‑G for acute or chronic gingivitis, traumatic or aphthous ulcers, postsurgical suture lines, halitosis of infective origin, and minor throat irritation. Using a cotton bud, a thin film is dabbed on clean, dry mucosa two or three times daily, and eating or rinsing is postponed for thirty minutes to maximise contact.
