CLIVER-O is a powerful combination antibiotic containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Ofloxacin, designed to effectively treat a wide range of bacterial infections. This dual-action formulation offers a synergistic effect, enhancing bacterial eradication and preventing recurrence.Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, leading to the destruction of bacteria. Ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, works by inhibiting bacterial enzymes (DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV) necessary for DNA replication, transcription, and repair. CLIVER-O is commonly used to treat infections of the respiratory tract (such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis), urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, and skin and soft tissues.
