CLIVER-C Dry Syrup is a pediatric formulation that combines Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Clavulanic Acid, specially designed to treat a wide range of bacterial infections in children. This powerful antibiotic duo works synergistically to fight both common and resistant bacterial strains, ensuring fast and effective relief from infections.Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, an essential structure for bacterial growth and survival. This leads to the breakdown and eventual death of the bacteria. However, some bacteria develop resistance by producing beta-lactamase enzymes that can neutralize the antibiotic.
To counteract this, Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, is added. It blocks these resistance-causing enzymes, allowing Cefpodoxime to retain its antibacterial effectiveness even against resistant strains. Together, they offer broad-spectrum coverage against infections of the respiratory tract, ear, throat, skin, and urinary tract.
CLIVER-C Dry Syrup is easy to administer, with a pleasant taste and accurate dosing for children. It should be given after meals to enhance absorption and reduce gastrointestinal side effects.
