AFEsone-M-DERM is a dermatological cream formulated with a powerful combination of Beclomethasone Dipropionate 0.025% w/w, Neomycin 0.5% w/w, Miconazole Nitrate 2.0% w/w, and Chlorocresol 0.1% w/w (as preservative). This cream is used for the treatment of skin infections accompanied by inflammation, bacterial, and fungal infections.Beclomethasone Dipropionate is a corticosteroid that works by reducing inflammation, redness, swelling, and itching. It provides fast relief from skin irritation. Neomycin is an antibiotic that prevents or treats bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Miconazole Nitrate is an effective antifungal agent that treats fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, and candidiasis by disrupting fungal cell membranes. Chlorocresol acts as a preservative and prevents microbial contamination of the cream during storage and use.
This combination is particularly helpful in managing mixed skin infections where both bacteria and fungi may be present, along with inflammatory symptoms. It is commonly used for conditions such as infected eczema, fungal dermatitis, and intertrigo.
