ADZOLE-DM is a combination medication containing Domperidone and Omeprazole, designed to manage gastrointestinal disorders involving excessive stomach acid and impaired gastric motility. Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that enhances the movement of food through the stomach and intestines by blocking dopamine receptors in the gut. This action helps alleviate symptoms such as bloating, nausea, and a feeling of fullness. It is especially useful in conditions like gastroparesis and dyspepsia, where stomach emptying is delayed.Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the production of stomach acid by inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme system in the stomach lining. By lowering acid levels, it provides relief from symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and peptic ulcers. Omeprazole also promotes healing of the gastric lining and prevents damage caused by excess acid.
Together, Domperidone and Omeprazole work synergistically to relieve discomfort associated with acid reflux, indigestion, nausea, and regurgitation. ADZOLE-DM is typically taken before meals, once or twice daily, as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
