ADPAX 1.2 is a potent antibiotic injection that contains a combination of Amoxycillin (1000 mg) and Clavulanic Acid (200 mg). This formulation is widely used to treat moderate to severe bacterial infections that require parenteral (injectable) therapy for faster and more effective results. Amoxycillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin-type antibiotic that works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, causing the bacteria to rupture and die.However, some bacteria produce enzymes called beta-lactamases, which can destroy Amoxycillin and make the treatment ineffective. To overcome this, Clavulanic Acid is added. It is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that binds to these enzymes and prevents them from breaking down Amoxycillin, thus restoring and enhancing the antibiotic's effectiveness against resistant bacterial strains.
ADPAX 1.2 is used in the treatment of infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, and gynecological and abdominal infections. It is especially useful in hospital settings where quick and reliable control of infection is critical.
Administered via intravenous injection, ADPAX 1.2 ensures rapid delivery and absorption, leading to faster clinical response. It should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional and for the full prescribed duration to prevent resistance.
