ADLOX OZ is a combination antibiotic medication containing Levofloxacin and Ornidazole, used for the treatment of a variety of bacterial and protozoal infections. This dual-action formula offers broad-spectrum coverage, making it effective against mixed infections, especially those involving the gastrointestinal tract, urogenital tract, respiratory system, and gynecological areas.Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial enzymes responsible for DNA replication and cell division, effectively killing a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Ornidazole, on the other hand, is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that targets anaerobic bacteria and protozoa by disrupting their DNA structure, leading to cell death. This makes ADLOX OZ especially useful in treating infections caused by organisms such as Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, and various anaerobes.
