ADCOLD-G is a combination medicine that contains Diphenhydramine, Ammonium Chloride, and Sodium Citrate, formulated to provide effective relief from symptoms associated with the common cold, cough, and throat irritation.Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that works by blocking the action of histamine, a natural substance in the body that causes allergy symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, and runny nose. It also possesses mild sedative and cough-suppressing properties, helping to reduce throat irritation and nighttime coughing.
Ammonium Chloride acts as an expectorant. It works by thinning and loosening mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough out phlegm and clear congestion from the lungs and throat. This helps in relieving productive (wet) cough.
Sodium Citrate is a mucolytic agent that reduces the acidity of mucus and facilitates its clearance. It helps soothe the throat and provides relief from irritation and cough caused by thick mucus.
